The National Independent Party has organized an orientation program for its MPs to provide training on the dos and don'ts of being an MP, the duties and rights of MPs, and the party's policies and objectives. It is said that party president Ravi Lamichhane, senior leader Balendra Shah, and all leaders and MPs, including the vice president, will participate in the program.

The Rashtriya Swatantra Party, which became the largest party in the House of Representatives after the elections held on Falgun 21, has organized a two-day residential orientation program for MPs at Hotel Royal Tulip in Lalitpur. The program is being held on Tuesday and Wednesday.

According to the head of the RSP Training Department and Joint General Secretary Bipin Acharya, the newly elected MPs will be informed about the party's policies and the work they have to do as MPs during the orientation program. 'This is the initial training for the MPs elected from our party. All of them have been elected and have not even met everyone.' This program will also serve as an introductory program,' Acharya said, 'The orientation program includes policy issues related to the party and issues related to MPs. MPs will be trained on the objectives of the party going into government and what our promises are.' The RSP has stated that the training program has been organized to inform the first-time MPs about their work, duties, party policies, perspectives, and work lines, and to maintain consistency in work.

RSP Law and Justice Department Head and MP Sobita Gautam informed that the orientation program has been organized to train the party MPs on everything from the lawmaking process to parliamentary activities. She said that the need for such programs has been felt so that there is a common understanding among the party MPs during the lawmaking process. 'The party has organized the program to inform the newly elected MPs about parliamentary practices and the lawmaking process. Most of the RSP MPs are new. The orientation program has been organized to bring clarity to the understanding of what role the MPs should play in lawmaking, what are the functions, duties and rights of MPs,' said Gautam.

The schedule for the inauguration program to be formally inaugurated by the party vice-president and senior leaders has been set. Training will also be provided on the contents of the 'agreement' made by the party with the people in the orientation. The topic of training the MPs on the current situation of the country, the party's promise, responsibilities and the role of MPs has been set. The topic of training the MPs on the role of MPs in the structure and functioning of the Federal Parliament of Nepal and what are their rights and responsibilities has also been set. Experts will also train the MPs on the role of the Federal Parliament in lawmaking and how and what kind of relationship should be maintained between MPs and citizens in the digital age. A schedule has also been set for those who have previously become MPs from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) to share their experiences with the new MPs.

Spokesperson and MP Manish Jha informed that on the first day of the orientation, the newly elected MPs will be trained on parliamentary roles, lawmaking and constitutional responsibilities. He said that on the second day, there will be a training program on planning and budgeting, good governance and development of responsible political culture. ‘MPs do not know many things about parliamentary practice. When we go to the House, the Parliament should provide training, but it does not make arrangements for it. We provide orientation training on the issues raised in the Parliament and various proposals and the duties of the MPs in that process. Information will also be given about different times during parliamentary work. The party has organized the orientation program to provide training on what topics to present at what times,’ Jha said, ‘It is our job to make laws so that training is arranged in the parliamentary system. Since the Parliament has not conducted such programs, our party has organized a training program.’ He said that MPs will be taught basic things in this program.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has invited experts in parliamentary practice, constitutional experts, historians, foreign policy experts, and economists to train the MPs. The first day's program will be inaugurated by the party's senior leader and vice president, while the closing ceremony will be addressed by President Ravi Lamichhane. The RSS has stated that 182 MPs, 125 of whom were directly elected and 57 who were proportionally elected, will participate in the orientation program.

The first day, which the RSS has prepared for the orientation program, will begin after 10 am.
