Vote counting for proportional representation system to end by Wednesday

The Election Commission has stated that the results will be available by Wednesday morning as only a few constituencies under the proportional system under the election of members of the House of Representatives held on Falgun 21 are yet to be counted.

Sankhuwasabha, Dhanusha Constituency No. 1, Gorkha Constituency No. 1 and 2,    Only a few constituencies including   remain to be counted, said Kul Bahadur GC, Assistant Spokesperson of the Election Commission.  As the counting of votes in these constituencies is currently ongoing, preparations are being made to make the results of all constituencies under the proportional system public by Wednesday morning, he said.

The Commission has stated that 16.59 million votes have been counted so far under the proportional system. The counting of votes under the first-past-the-post system has already been done.
