The Nepali Communist Party has drawn serious attention to the Election Commission for not yet issuing certificates of election to its candidate who won the House of Representatives seat in Dhanusha-1.
On Monday, NCP Central Office Secretary Govinda Acharya issued a statement stating that the results of the election of its candidate Matrika Prasad Yadav from Dhanusha-1 have been made public, but the party has objected to the fact that the commission has not handed over the certificate to him.
‘Our candidate has won as per the instructions given by the Election Commission itself to count the votes on Falgun 22 and announce the results,’ the statement said. ‘Even after that, not issuing the certificate is against the Commission’s process and procedures and is a matter of serious concern.’
The statement mentioned that the Commission’s meeting held on Falgun 18, 2082, had already rejected the candidacy of Kishori Sah Kamal in accordance with the Election Act, 2074.
‘We urge a constitutional body like the Commission to follow the rule of law and work impartially without succumbing to any political pressure. "We also trust that the court will make the right decision in accordance with the law and procedure," the statement said.
Here are the results released by the commission
