As the results of the House of Representatives elections were being made public, while the results were coming in favor of the National Independent Party candidates across the country, some constituencies did not vote in favor of the party as expected. The deposits of 10 RSP candidates have been forfeited.

RSP candidate Binita Kathayat from Jumla expressed her anger on social media after not receiving votes in her favor, writing, "Why can't the remote areas of Karnali and the far west be able to absorb the wave of change?"

Kathayat, who became an MP through the proportional election system in 2079, was a direct candidate from Jumla this time. Where her deposit was forfeited. In Jumla, where there was a contest between RSP's Gyan Bahadur Shahi and NCP's Naresh Bhandari, Congress's Deep Bahadur Shahi came third and UML's Shantilal Mahat came fourth.

Outgoing MP Kathayat, however, remained in fifth place with her deposit forfeited. That is why she expressed her anger on social media that her deposit was forfeited. ‘The question that arises in our minds today is why our brothers and sisters living in the remote areas of Karnali and the far west have not yet fully assimilated the wave of change that has swept across the country. For years, we have been carrying the pain of being backward. We have been backward in every field - roads, education, health, opportunities. But now the time to just blame others is over,’ Kathayat lamented. ‘It is time to find an answer to the question of why we have fallen behind. Today, there is no room left to blame anyone other than ourselves for our backwardness.’

RSP President Ravi Lamichhane and senior leader Balendra Shah had reached most of the constituencies and districts of the country during the election campaign. However, both leaders did not reach Jumla. Not only was Kathayat defeated, his deposit was forfeited. He could not even get 500 out of 39,173 votes in Jumla. In this constituency, the candidate had to secure ten percent, or 3,918 votes, to secure the deposit, but Kathayat got only 421 votes. Here, the deposit of 6 candidates, including Kathayat, was forfeited.

The deposit of the RSP candidate in Rukum East, where NCP coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal was elected, has also been forfeited. Here, 18,246 votes were secured, and 1,825 runs were needed to secure the deposit. In Rukum East, the RSP candidate Lakhan Kumar Thapa got only 819 votes, so his deposit was forfeited.

The RSP candidate in Dolpa has also had his deposit forfeited. In Dolpa, the RSP candidate Dev Singh Aidy got only 181 votes, out of 1,551 votes needed to secure the deposit. In Mugu, the RSP's Bhuwan Tamta got only 530 votes, out of 2,123 votes needed to secure the deposit. In Kalikot, the RSVP candidate could not cross the threshold of 3,938 votes to secure the deposit. The RSVP candidate Prakash Neupane of the RSVP got only 3,101 votes, so his deposit was forfeited.

In Jajarkot, the RSVP candidate Raghav Karki's deposit was forfeited. Here, Karki got only 2,471 votes out of the 5,767 votes needed to secure the deposit. In Rukum West, the RSVP candidate Man Bahadur Shahi got only 4,076 votes out of the 5,953 votes needed to secure the deposit.

The RSVP candidate Tasi Lhanjom's deposit was forfeited from Humla. In Humla, where 21,935 votes were secured, 2,194 votes were needed to secure the deposit. But the RSVP candidate Lhanjom got only 1,064 votes. The bail of 4 people including him has been forfeited.

The bail of Omprakash Rawal of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has been forfeited in Achham-1. Out of the 3,35 votes needed to secure the bail in this constituency, Rawal got only 1,739 votes.

The bail of the RSS candidate in the eastern hilly district of Taplejung was also forfeited. In this constituency, where the total number of votes was 21,897, the bail of Birendra Shrestha of the RSS, who got 4,155 votes when Kshitij Thebe of UML was elected, was forfeited.

The bail of Mahendra Bikram Thamsuhang, the RSS candidate from Panchthar, has also been forfeited. Out of the 6,689 votes needed to secure the bail here, Thamsuhang got only 4,197 votes. Along with him, the bail of 11 candidates in this constituency has been forfeited. In Solukhumbu too, the deposit of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) candidate Rishidhan Thulung Rai has been forfeited. Out of the 3,841 votes needed to secure the deposit, only 3,642 votes were received by Rai of the RSS.

There is a provision that if a candidate gets less than 10 percent of the votes in the House of Representatives elections, the deposit of the candidate will be forfeited. In the 2079 House of Representatives elections, the deposits of 82 RSS candidates were forfeited.
