Dhan Bahadur Budha has been elected from Dolpa from the Nepal Communist Party. He is the leader of the Unified Socialist Party, which was previously chaired by Madhav Kumar Nepal.
The Maoists and the Socialists united in Kartik. He is the only leader to be elected from the Nepal side. He is the co-coordinator of the Nepal Communist Party.
Budha won by a margin of 1,406 votes over the CPN-UML candidate Lanka Bahadur Rokaya. He had secured 6,801 votes. Nepal and other leaders who were candidates have been defeated.
