The commission formed to investigate the incidents of Bhadra 23 and 24 is preparing to submit the investigation report to Prime Minister Sushila Karki on Sunday.

A team including commission coordinator Gauri Bahadur Karki has reached the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers' Office in Singha Durbar to submit the report.

The commission includes former Nepal Police AIG Vigyan Raj Sharma and lawyer Bishweshwor Prasad Bhandari.

The government had formed the commission on Asoj 5 and given three months to investigate the incidents including the use of force during the Genji movement. But after the commission failed to complete its work, the deadline was extended and the date for submitting the report was pushed back to after the elections.

The commission had also taken statements from the then Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and the then Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak. A group of Genji is also pressuring the commission to make the report public.
