Leader Sunil Sharma has said that party President Gagan Thapa should not be asked for his resignation in view of the results obtained in the House of Representatives elections. Sharma says that the resignation of the party President will not provide a solution.

Sharma says that it is not appropriate to ask for President Thapa's resignation when the party needs to move forward from a difficult situation. 'The resignation of the President is not a solution, now is the time to rise from scratch.' Sharma said that asking for or giving President Gagan Thapa's resignation in this difficult time is not a solution, it is just a momentary emotion,' Sharma said, 'As a leader, he certainly has a moral responsibility, but the root cause of the crisis seen today is the dirty and opportunistic politics that have been going on for decades. It is not politically justifiable to put the burden of the entire failure on the shoulders of a single person.'

Leader Sharma also says that all party leaders need to introspect. He has also urged to imagine a situation where the Congress went to the elections without holding a special general convention. 'If the election had been fought without a special general convention and under the old leadership's working style and structure, the question of what the party's situation would have been today is also a matter that needs to be seriously considered,' Sharma said. 'The defeat seen today is not just the result of any one person; it is the long-term result of wrong decisions made in the past, activities that went against public sentiment, and the weak working style of the old leadership. The old leadership and the concerned people should also take responsibility for what hurt the hearts of the citizens and weakened the people's trust.'

Sharma also said that an environment of unity and cooperation should be created within the party. 'Come, let us learn from the shortcomings of the past and start a new struggle from scratch. Let us stand shoulder to shoulder and regain the lost trust of the people and establish the party as trustworthy and powerful among the people again,' Sharma said.
