Yagyamani Neupane, a candidate of the National Independent Party (NISP), has won the House of Representatives election from Morang Constituency No. 1. He defeated his nearest rival, Shram Sanskriti Party candidate Shanti Pakhrin Lama, by 9,845 votes.
Neupane received 27,367 votes. Pakhrin received only 17,522 votes. Congress' Khadag Bahadur Fago is in third place with 11,986 votes. UML's Ghanshyam Khatiwada finished in fourth place with 9,823 votes.
