Kamal Subedi of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has been elected from Dang-3. He won by defeating his main rival Deepak Giri of the Nepali Congress by a margin of 27,795 votes.

Subedi received 44,248 votes while Giri received 16,453 votes. Similarly, UML's Ghanshyam Pandey received 12,195 votes and NCP's Dhan Bahadur Maski received 9,328 votes.
Giri is a former irrigation minister, Maski is a former finance minister of Lumbini Province and Pandey is a former mayor of Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City. Subedi won by defeating the former minister and mayor. NCP's Maski resigned from the Lumbini Provincial Assembly and became a candidate.
In Constituency No. 3, 88,273 votes were cast, including 38,661 men and 49,612 women. This is 58.57 percent of the vote. There were 150,720 voters in Constituency No. 3, including 74,268 men, 76,451 women and 1 other.
