In Pyuthan, RSP's Sushant Vaidik has won. Vaidik was elected by defeating Dr. Govinda Raj Pokharel of the Nepali Congress by 9,132 votes. Vaidik received 27,469 votes and Pokharel received 18,338 votes.
Candidates from 14 political parties were in the fray in Pyuthan. UML's Surya Bahadur Thapa Chhetri received 16,710 votes. Nepali Communist Party's Krishna Dhwaj Khadka received 9,047 votes and Rastriya Janamorcha's Tilak Bahadur GC received 7,654 votes.
Dhaneshwor Pandit of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party received 415 votes, Mongol National Organization's Harka Bahadur Pun received 81 votes, CPN-United Hasiya's Navin Kumar Kakshapati received 43 votes, National Republic Nepal's Tara Singh Thapa Magar received 94 votes, Shram Sanskriti Party's Govinda Giri received 594 votes, and CPN-Maoist's Sita BK received 501 votes.
