Rajiv Khatri of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has won in Bhaktapur-2. Khatri won with 42,334 votes. His nearest competitor, Mahesh Basnet of the UML, got 10,996 votes. Basnet is also the UML secretary.
