Independent candidate Mahavir Pun has won from the Myagdi constituency by a huge margin. Pun defeated UML's Harikrishna Shrestha by a three-fold margin.
Pun got 22,850 votes while Shrestha got 7,919 votes. Similarly, Congress' Karna Bahadur Bhandari got 6,683 votes and NCP's Arjun Thapa got 3,529 votes.
According to the Main Election Office, Myagdi, a total of 46,215 votes were cast. The votes have been invalidated.
Mahavir bans victory processions and feasts
After winning, Mahavir Pun has urged his supporters and well-wishers not to celebrate his victory or have any feasts.
He has urged people not to waste money and time on celebrating the victory on social media Facebook, as they will have to work together tomorrow and will be insulting to their competitors, and if they do, to celebrate in their own villages.
