UML leader Ishwor Pokharel has congratulated and conveyed his best wishes to the victorious and victory-oriented candidates from other constituencies, including Sasmit Pokharel, who was elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Kathmandu Constituency No. 5.

He pointed out the need to work firmly in favor of social harmony and national unity while protecting the sovereignty, freedom, independence and integrity of the country. He also wrote on Facebook that good governance should be maintained and service delivery should be focused on the welfare of the Nepali people.
Pokharel thanked the government, Election Commission, security mechanism, political parties, media sector and general voters for their role in successfully conducting the election. He expressed his belief that this election will help bring the democratic and constitutional process, which had been ‘leaked’ some time ago, back on the right track.
