The RPP has won its first victory in the ongoing House of Representatives elections held on Thursday. RPP's Gyan Bahadur Shahi (Gyanendra) won in Jumla.

He received 14,816 votes. He defeated NCP's Naresh Bhandari by a margin of 3,181 votes. Bhandari received 11,635 votes.

Congress's Deep Bahadur Shahi received 7,143 votes, UML's Shantilal Mahat received 4,518 votes, RPP's Binita Kathayat received 421 votes, Nepal Workers' and Peasants' Party's Birkha Bahadur Rawat received 400 votes, and Progressive Democratic Party's Manarishi Dhital received 112 votes. Out of a total of 71,739 voters, 40,839 votes were cast. There are 1,700 invalid votes.
