According to the preliminary results of the vote counting for Palpa Constituency No. 1 under the House of Representatives election, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) candidate Bimal Pant has taken the lead.
According to the vote counting that began at 4 am on Friday, the counting of votes in two of the 37 wards under Palpa Constituency No. 1 has been completed. Out of 2,519 votes counted in Tinau Rural Municipality Ward No. 5 and Tansen Municipality 8, Pant has received 1,306.
UML's Narayan Prasad Acharya received 554 votes, Congress's Sandeep Rana received 322 votes, NCP's Hum Bahadur Sunari Magar received 170 votes, and Mongol National Organization's Salan Chidi received 57 votes, informed Election Officer Dashrath Pangeni.
13 candidates, including 9 political parties and 4 independents, are in the fray in Constituency No. 1. Out of a total of 98,383 voters, 51,881 votes were cast in Palpa Constituency No. 1.
