The transportation of ballot boxes has been halted as helicopter flights were not possible today due to bad weather. Police have stated that the transportation of ballot boxes will now only be done on Saturday.

The counting of votes in Gorkha-1 will not take place today as the ballot boxes of 14 polling stations in North Gorkha could not be collected.
Due to the geographical remoteness, preparations were made to transport the ballot boxes of 23 polling stations in Chunnubri by helicopter. But the ballot boxes of only 9 centers were transported in two flights throughout the day on Friday. The ballot boxes of 14 centers have not been brought to the counting site.
The ballot boxes of Bouddhahimali Basic School Nyak, Buddha Secondary School Film, Pangsing Basic School Pangsing, Film Adharabhut School Pati and Sidung Basic School Sarsyung centers in Chumanubri-3 are yet to be brought to the counting site. Similarly, the ballot boxes of Himchuli Basic School Chhak, Prok Basic School Prok, Kwak Abi Kwak, Krak Basic School Krak, Gumba Himali Basic School Dhummat, VDC Building Syo, Community Building Lho, Health Post Namrung Larkebazar Center in Chumanubri-4 are yet to be collected.
DSP Rajkumar Shrestha of the District Police Office, Gorkha said that the ballot boxes could not be brought due to the helicopter flight due to bad weather. The remaining ballot boxes will be transported by helicopter on Saturday. The counting venue for Gorkha-1 has been designated at the District Coordination Committee hall.
