The counting of votes in Rupandehi Constituency No. 2 is about to begin. Assistant Election Officer Hum Bahadur Pandey said that the counting of votes has begun from Tilottama Ward No. 1 after an informal all-party meeting held at the Election Officer's office. Out of 135,050 voters in Rupandehi Constituency No. 2, 86,715 people have voted. In this constituency, 39 candidates are in the fray, including Bishnu Poudel from UML, Chunna Prasad Poudel from Nepali Congress, Sulabh Kharel from Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Bishwadeep Pandey from NCP. However, the main competition is seen between UML, Congress and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Chief Election Officer Ashok Kumar Basnet said that preparations are underway to count votes in other constituencies in Rupandehi, which has five constituencies, from Thursday night. According to him, all-party meetings are being held in the offices of all election officers for the counting of votes in other constituencies. He said that the counting will begin after the parties reach an agreement.

442,963 people voted in 5 constituencies in Rupandehi, which has 672,523 voters. Voting was held through 736 polling stations in Rupandehi.
