However, some voters are in the 'departure' line at the Tribhuvan International Airport on the eve of the election. Radheshyam, who came home for a month on leave after two years, says that he went abroad because he could not find a job in the country. ‘I was looking for work in Nepal. No matter how much I searched, I could not find the job I wanted,’ he said, ‘I went abroad out of compulsion. Who would want to go to work happily in another country?’

Radheshyam wants a good candidate to win even if he cannot vote for him. ‘Inflation should come down and an environment should be created where everyone can do something in the country, that is enough,’ he said.

24-year-old Chhabi Bishwakarma of Taplejung-3, who was also seen at the airport, was taking a photo with a friend, with his suitcase and a bag nearby. He had gone to Malaysia at the age of 20 for employment. Chhabi, who had worked in Malaysia for four years and returned home on a two-month vacation, was returning home on Wednesday. He also expressed his sadness at having to go abroad on the eve of the election. ‘While my friends were having fun due to the election, I had to go abroad, and my heart ached,’ he said, ‘I also had to raise a family again. There was no stopping just because of the election.’

Chhabi, who went abroad while studying in the 11th grade, wants the youth to get jobs in their own country after studying.
