Voting has been completed in all polling stations in Rolpa for the House of Representatives elections scheduled for Thursday. According to the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, about 47 percent of the votes were cast in the district.
The District Election Office has stated that the voting in all the centers has ended and the final votes cast are yet to be counted. 44.68 percent of the votes cast till 4 pm. The number of votes cast between 4 pm and 5 pm is yet to be updated.
Chief District Officer Ganga Bahadur Chhetri said that the final results of the votes cast are yet to come and the information will be available after some time. He said that the work of bringing the ballot boxes from all the polling stations has begun. 'After the voting is over, we have made arrangements to bring the ballot boxes safely to the main election office in Libang,' he said.
Meanwhile, Chief Election Officer Binod Khatiwada said that arrangements have been made to count the ballot boxes after they are brought to Libang. The counting place has been arranged at the Household and Small Industries Office in Libang.
