Acting Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari claimed that the Commission has improved the election system and practice by learning from all the past incidents.
For the House of Representatives to be held on 21 Falgun, a counting center has also been constructed along with the polling station, which he argues has been surrounded by a wire mesh to make it a safe place. Construction of counting centers in all 10 constituencies in Kathmandu
The Election Commission has made arrangements to count votes after voting in all 10 constituencies in Kathmandu.
The counting will take place in the constituency after the voting is over. Election Commission spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai said that arrangements have been made to count votes in the respective constituencies.
He claimed that since it is easy in Kathmandu and since it is a representative constituency, there will be ownership and the results will come faster, arrangements have been made for counting votes in the constituency. He said that barbed wire and CCTV cameras have been placed at the counting center and a wire mesh has been installed.
He said that the ballot boxes will be collected within 1 hour after the voting ends and the counting of votes will begin on the same day after an all-party meeting. Bhattarai said that security has been tightened to prevent any untoward activity.
250 candidates are in the fray in 10 constituencies of Kathmandu. 29 in constituency 1, 28 in 2, 22 in 3, 28 in 4, 25 in 5, 20 in 6, 27 in 7, 22 in 8, 24 in 9 and 25 in 10.
On the nomination day on Magh 6, 254 people had filed their candidacies in 10 constituencies. 4 of these have withdrawn. Political parties and independent candidates have also registered their candidacies.
The commission is preparing to collect the ballot boxes within 1 hour after the voting ends in Kathmandu. Acting Chief Commissioner Bhandari said that people can queue up to vote from 5 am to 5 pm and the polling stations will close after 7 pm. After that, the counting will begin after collecting the ballot boxes and depositing them at the counting center.
He claimed that the commission is preparing to make the results public within 24 hours, so preparations for the counting are also underway. He said that an all-party meeting will be held on the same day after the end of voting in Kathmandu at least two hours later and the counting will begin.
There are 48,489 voters in Constituency No. 1. Where 22 polling stations and 57 centers have been designated. There are 8,700 voters in Constituency No. 2. Where 40 polling stations and 100 centers have been designated.
In Constituency No. 3, which has 64,479 voters, 29 polling stations and 72 polling stations have been designated. In Constituency No. 4, which has 76,141 voters, there are 33 polling stations and 88 polling stations.

The Election Commission has made internal preparations to make the final results of all constituencies public within about a week. The Commission has stated that the counting of votes will begin on the same day after the ballot boxes are collected in accessible places including Kathmandu and with the consent of the all-party meeting, and if this is not possible, the counting of votes will begin from the morning of the 22nd.
The Election Commission will have some delays in places where ballot papers have to be transported from mountainous and distant places, otherwise the counting of votes will begin without delay in other areas, said the Election Commission's Assistant Spokesperson Kul Bahadur GC.
The Commission has prepared to make the results available on the Election Commission's website at the counting site to provide immediate information about the results.
