Addressing an election rally in Butwal on Friday, President Thapa claimed that the Nepali Congress has worked in the government at various times since 2015 and can continue to do so. He said that the time after 2074 BS has been wasted and the Nepali Congress will take responsibility for it.

‘Others have also joined the government during this period. UML, Maoists, and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Party are all in the election fray,’ Thapa said, ‘But why does no one take responsibility. Why is there no debate on the issue?’ Thapa questioned why the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Party is also in the government but is only criticizing others now.

He admitted that the focus during this period was on forming and dismantling the government and claimed that the coalition politics had given bad results. He claims that politics is dirty and that he has come to clean it up.

‘We have come to clean up this dirt for five years. There is an election in Falgun. The government will be formed in the first week of Chaitra. And the Congress-led government will prepare a list of works to be done within a month of Baisakh and say so, and the same will happen in other months.’

He claimed that he would not make anyone a god or a demon, but would work. He said that he would work together with all municipalities and provinces.

He said that since the constitution needs to be amended to work, the support of all parties, starting from the National Assembly, is needed, and he claimed that no one should be made an enemy. He said that if a government is formed under the leadership of the Nepali Congress, he will guarantee that the country will not fall into disaster.
