NCP Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal has claimed that people's trust in the NCP is increasing as the two old parties, Congress and UML, have gone on the defensive.
Addressing a program organized by the Nuwakot-Kathmandu Liaison Committee in Kathmandu on Friday, Coordinator Dahal made this claim.
He claims that people's trust is increasing because only the NCP has moved forward aggressively while other old political parties have reached a defensive position.
He also claimed that only the policies, plans and programs put forward by the NCP can protect the country's independence and work in favor of the public interest. He claimed that the NCP will become the first political party in the country if it can reach people's homes in the next five days and convince them.

The Nepali Communist Party has become the only party that has moved forward in the elections as a grand campaign and has emerged as a rising force. Other old parties are defensive. We are the only ones who have moved forward aggressively. Day by day, people's trust and confidence in the Nepali Communist Party, the policies, plans and programs it has put forward, and the commitments we have made are increasing.
If we can work on a war footing and go door to door to convince the people in the next five days, I have been saying that only the NCP will be able to protect the country's independence and safeguard the public interest. This is the only number one party that will lead the country after the elections.
