Hit Bahadur Tamang, the candidate for Nuwakot Constituency No. 1 from the Nepali Communist Party and former minister, has said that he wants to become a charioteer of development and prosperity.

During the campaign for the upcoming House of Representatives election, candidate Tamang made this statement while addressing a door-to-door and voter meeting program in various settlements of Suryagadhi Rural Municipality of the district on Friday. Former minister Tamang urged the people to vote for him to complete the unfinished development plans of Nuwakot. He said, 'I will always be committed to completing the unfinished development plans of Nuwakot and developing agriculture, tourism and infrastructure here. You should vote for me.'

He said that the welcome and love of the local people have further inspired him to serve the people. 'This immense love and trust of you is the main capital of my political life,' he said, 'This support shown by the general voters, elders and young friends has inspired me to become more determined and energetic and serve the people. I will never let this trust be broken.'

The door-to-door campaign that started from Dhobi Khola in Suryagadhi on Friday morning reached Lachyang Chaap via Salindanda, Semrang, Kaule, Bulbule and Solamane, said Sushil Singh Thakuri, coordinator of the campaign committee. According to him, candidate Tamang has reached Behore Bhanjyang in Suryagadhi-2, Dithaswarra in Suryagadhi-1, Sanubhorle and Kuwapani in Suryagadhi-2 and interacted directly with the locals.

During the meeting, the local residents mainly raised the issues of road upgrading, irrigation facilities and youth self-employment. Coordinator Thakuri said that candidate Tamang has committed to keeping these problems on his priority list. Tamang had previously been elected from Nuwakot-1 twice in a row.
