The UML has now released a manifesto promising to increase the size of Nepal's economy to Rs 1 trillion within five years. Releasing its manifesto for the upcoming House of Representatives elections today, the UML also mentioned the goal of increasing the size of the economy to Rs 2 trillion within the next 10 years.
UML has also set a target of 7 to 9 percent economic growth every year.
According to the manifesto, plans have been included to provide interest-free loans of Rs 2 million to students, increase the minimum wage of workers to Rs 25,000, provide a monthly allowance of Rs 20,000 to health volunteers, provide interest-free loans of Rs 2 million to women, and waive the loans of poor families.
Similarly, UML has included a list of 11 immediate tasks in the manifesto. Five basic declarations and 25 pillars of prosperity have also been included in it. Chairman Oli also said that the government of the Council of Ministers formed after the election will set a deadline and determine the work schedule for the 11 immediate tasks.
