At a program organized at the National Assembly on Thursday, President Gagan Thapa granted Manandhar the membership of the Congress. He is known as an influential leader in Kathmandu Constituency No. 7.
On the occasion, Thapa stated that the Congress is committed to building democratic values, good governance and a responsible governance system and expressed confidence that the party will be further strengthened with the participation of experienced leaders.
Manandhar, who is also a former minister, was elected as an MP in 2074 BS. Earlier, he held the responsibility of ward chairman of ward number 16 in 2049 BS.
