Speaking at the public program of the Congress manifesto held in Kathmandu, President Gagan Thapa expressed his resolve to make Nepal corruption-free within 5 years. He also said that the manifesto mentions what the Congress will do to fulfill this promise.
President Thapa also said that the assets of all those who have held public positions since 2048 will be investigated. He said, "We will not look at any relationship in this." He also said that the appointment will be based on merit and ability, not party status. The Congress has also expressed a commitment that it will not share shares in the constitutional commission and universities and that such things will not be heard anymore.
It is said that the Congress has also put forward a plan to make the assets details public before taking office and after vacating office.
President Thapa also said that the Congress will take the initiative to use the knowledge, capital and experience of Nepalis scattered around the world for the renaissance of the country and will play the role of guardian for that.
