Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa has said that the report of the Gauri Bahadur Karki-led commission formed to investigate the destruction and damage caused during the Gen-G movement will be fully implemented if the government is formed under his leadership.
He said this during a question-and-answer session on the manifesto released by the Nepali Congress targeting the upcoming elections.
President Thapa also said that it would have been better if the Karki Commission report had come out before the February 21 House of Representatives elections. He said that he was confident that the report would clarify who fired the shots and who burned down Singha Durbar.
On the occasion, he said that if the government is formed under his leadership, he will also give priority to fast-track lawmaking. However, he was committed to making the legislature more responsible by saying fast-track.
