Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) President Lamichhane's sarcasm towards UML President KP Sharma Oli - 'No one is omniscient, except Oliji.'
What you should know
Rastriya Swatantra Party President Ravi Lamichhane has said that the politics of division has become a problem for the country. Speaking at Manakamanama in Chitwan, Lamichhane said that the politics of conspiracy has also created problems in the country.
Chairman Lamichhane said that the politics of division should be ended. He said that the country is in trouble when political posts are divided for personal gain.
'The problem of this country is the politics of conspiracy. The problem of this country is the division of posts for personal gain. The problem of this country has become the problem of the division of political power,' Chairman Lamichhane said, 'If we take a step forward from that, it will be time to think for the country. We did not divide this time. We divided the responsibilities. Who will take the responsibility of the party and who will run the government has responsibilities.' He said that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has given responsibilities to leaders based on their ministerial expertise.
Chairman Lamichhane said that one person cannot be an expert in all fields. Lamichhane said that responsibilities should be given to party and country posts according to expertise and ability. 'There is no goal to take politics to the Aryaghat. I will work honestly for my two terms. While working for those two terms, I will contribute to this country to the best of my ability. I cannot bring in the ability that I do not have,' Lamichhane said, 'Yes, no one is omniscient except Oliji. I am not omniscient, but one should be aware of the things that one does not know. One should know what one does not know.'
Lamichhane added, 'To add friends who know about the areas that one does not know to the party. To add expert and learned advisors to include the areas that one does not know. There has been a delay in development. We are in an infrastructure crisis. The law should be amended to facilitate this.'
Lamichhane said that he has no personal interests other than building the country. Lamichhane also said that there is a politics of conspiracy in Nepal. 'The politics of conspiracy has been in place in Nepal for a long time. As long as the politics of conspiracy persists, the leadership will not have time to escape from the conspiracy. All the problems of the country are overshadowed by the competition of second, third, and fourth level leaders to bring themselves to power, to make themselves strong, to make themselves first,' Lamichhane said.
Lamichhane said that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has fielded youth, experts, Gen-G leaders, and people with expertise in various professions in the upcoming elections to be held on Falgun 21.
