He complained that the agreement regarding fee adjustment has not been implemented even though the Charwat Self-Sustain Program under the Faculty of Humanities of TU has been upgraded to a central department.

He wrote, ‘Therefore, the symbolic protest by pasting photos on the chairs of the officials is not against the person, but against the lack of duty, it is an exposure of the real character they have shown. The game of making and breaking agreements should be stopped. Talks should be opened immediately, the agreement should be implemented.’

Last Monday alone, the Tribhuvan University administration opened the lock that had been in place for three weeks with the help of the police. After the lock was opened with the help of the administration, the officials complained that the Tribhuvan University President Dinesh Ain of the revolutionaries had threatened to physically attack them. The revolutionaries had locked the offices of the Vice Chancellor, Rector, and Registrar on Poush 19. Tribhuvan University had given an ultimatum to open the lock imposed by the revolutionaries saying that the agreement had not been implemented.

The Registrar’s Office had warned that if the lock was not opened by 8 am on Monday, it would be opened with the help of the police administration. Tribhuvan University has stated that the lock was opened by the student organization itself and the administration’s help was opened in places where it was not opened. After the lock was opened, dissatisfied students even held a protest rally.

The Department of International Relations and Diplomacy, Gender Studies, Social Work and Conflict Peace and Development Studies was locked down because the agreement to reduce the fees was not implemented. TU has stated that it has formed a fee review task force to review the fees and has started work.
