NCP Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal has claimed that the NCP will become the number one party if the elections are held in a clean, fair and rigged-free environment.

At a program organized in Kathmandu on Wednesday, Dahal said that social media activities will not determine the election results. "Our Nepali Communist Party (NCP) has the possibility of becoming the number one party if there is a clean, fair and rigged election. Nothing will happen by making a fuss on social media," he said. Dahal said that the Nepali people have come to know the leader and party who can unite the nation, stand against corruption, stand in favor of good governance and advance economic development.

He also urged the government to hold elections in a single phase across the country. He said that the government should guarantee that the election will be held in a clean, fair and fear-free environment.
