Ujjaya Nepal Party Chairman and current Minister Kulman Ghising has said that he has discussed with the Electricity Authority regarding the provision of employment for the families of Gen-G martyrs and has received approval from the authority's board.
At a dialogue and meeting with the families of martyrs on the topic of 'Gen-G Good Governance Warriors' jointly organized by the United Nepalese Association Texas (USA), United Nepali Diaspora (USA) and MIT Group Foundation Australia in Lalitpur on Saturday, he informed that the board has approved the matter and that employment arrangements have been made for 27 of the applicants.
'Of the applicants who have applied so far, 27 can go and work, and we will make further arrangements for the rest. We will continue to coordinate and collaborate with representatives of the concerned bodies for this arrangement,' said Chairman Ghising.
He opined that the demands of Gen-G martyrs can be met by displacing the power that does not understand the interests of the country and the people's wishes.
Ghising said that we understand the feelings of the martyr's family and pledged to show this by working rather than talking about it. 'Preparations have been started after positive discussions when I was in the government to build a martyr park and a statue. We will address the feelings of the martyr families after the Ujjaya Nepal Party reaches the parliament,' he said.
Chairman Ghising mentioned that he was also involved in many discussions with the families of the martyrs and the injured for the accountability of the state. 'We had discussed many times in the Council of Ministers to honor the martyrs. The upcoming election is being held on Falgun 21, and the parliament and government that will be formed after that will also address the issues of the martyrs, the injured and their families,' he said.
Narayan Shrestha, father of martyr Dhiraj Shrestha, emphasized the need to unite the martyr families and carry out welfare work.
Program coordinator and founder of the United Nepalese Association, Pasang Lama, informed that the organization was established 11 years ago to fulfill its responsibility towards Nepal and Nepalis. He said that he is ready to provide assistance through the organization when an emergency situation arises in the country, considering his duty and responsibility.
United Nepalese Association Nepal Chapter President Dorje Sherpa said that understanding is not possible without dialogue and stressed the need for everyone to work with a common commitment to build a prosperous Nepal with good governance and justice, realizing the dreams of the martyrs.
