Friday's meeting of the Central Working Committee of the Nepali Congress concluded with five different decisions.

Spokesperson Devraj Chalise said that the meeting held at the party's central office, Sanepa, decided to nominate President Gagan Thapa as the future Prime Minister and to contest the election. General Secretary Pradeep Poudel presented various proposals in the meeting. 

Decisions of the Congress meeting

• (1) The meeting of the working committee unanimously approves the proposal made by Nepali Congress Vice President Bishwo Prakash Sharma and the support given by Vice President Pushpa Bhusal to nominate Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa as the future Prime Ministerial candidate on behalf of the party in the House of Representatives member election to be held on Falgun 21, 2082.
• (2) A central publicity committee will be formed under the coordination of party spokesperson Devraj Chalise for the House of Representatives member election to be held on Falgun 21, 2082.
• (3) A central office building reconstruction committee will be formed under the coordination of the party's outgoing treasurer Umesh Shrestha for the reconstruction of the Nepali Congress central office building.
• (4) Decides to assign the responsibility to Vice President Pushpa Bhusal to coordinate the necessary activities on behalf of the party in the National Assembly member elections to be held on Magh 11, 2082.
• (5) Decides to form the Nepali Congress Central Working Committee. Congress's decision to nominate President Thapa as the Prime Ministerial candidate
