Newly elected President of the Nepali Congress, Gagan Thapa, has assumed office.

President Thapa assumed office today at a special general convention held at the Nepali Congress central office in Sanepa. He was elected as the president at the second special general convention of the Nepali Congress on December 30.

The first meeting of the new working committee is being held at the party office in Sanepa today.
