Balendra Shah, who resigned as the mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has chosen Jhapa-5 constituency to enter the federal parliament. Senior leader Shah has been presented by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as the future Prime Minister. He was elected as the mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City as an independent candidate. Bharatpur Metropolitan City Mayor Renu Dahal has also chosen the election. After resigning from the post, she has become a candidate from Chitwan-3 from the NCP.

Some people's representatives had announced that they would leave the municipality and join the Sangh long ago. Many have unexpectedly abandoned their responsibilities on the eve of the election. The mayor of Dharan Sub-metropolitan City, Hark Sampang, has started a party and entered politics. In the meantime, he resigned from his post and became a candidate for the House of Representatives. He has become a candidate from Sunsari-1 from the Shram Sanskriti Party.

Tikapur Municipality in Kailali is without a mayor and deputy mayor. Mayor Ramlal Dagaura Tharu has resigned from his post and become a candidate for the House of Representatives. He has become the candidate for Kailali-1 from the NCP. Dagaura, who was elected mayor from the Civil Liberation Party in 2079, has changed parties and is now running for the House of Representatives. Deputy mayor Khadak Bahadur Shah has been suspended since 25 Magh 2080 on charges of involvement in land irregularities of the Tikapur Municipal Development Committee.

 Although there is a provision for the mayor to resign to the deputy mayor, Dagaura resigned from the post while addressing the municipal assembly members. Deviram Acharya, the municipality's information officer, said that since the municipality is without leadership, house plan appeals, local health boards, executive meetings, and municipal assembly meetings will be affected.

Khim Bahadur Thapa, who was elected twice as the chairman of Kaligandaki Rural Municipality in Syangja, has become a candidate from the UML in Syangja-2. He was elected as the municipality chairman in the 2074 and 2079 local elections. Earlier, UML secretary Padma Aryal was contesting in this area. Thapa has got the opportunity to compete directly after UML included him in the proportional list this time. Dilip Kumar Agrawal, the mayor of Rangeli Municipality in Morang, has also chosen the House of Representatives. UML has nominated him as a candidate from Morang-2. Kanhaiya Baniya, who was elected from Rupandehi-4 (1) in the 2079 provincial assembly elections, resigned a week ago and joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He was elected as a provincial assembly member from the Democratic Socialist Party. Now, after joining the RSSS, he has become a candidate for the House of Representatives from Rupandehi-4. Krishna KC of Banke, the then Maoist provincial MP, has also resigned and become a candidate from the Progressive Democratic Party. Dhan Bahadur Maski, who was elected from Dang-2 (2) from the Maoist, has now become a federal candidate from the NCP.

Dharma Bahadur Chaudhary, who was elected from Bardiya-2 (2) from the Civil Liberation Party, has left the post and become a candidate from the Ujjaj Nepal Party in Bardiya-2. 'Federalism has become only in name, everyone has become dependent on the center,' Chaudhary said, 'Even when I was a minister, I was unable to manage the plan and budget, so it was difficult to fulfill my promise. Five others have become candidates for members of the House of Representatives from different parties. Kundan Raj Kafle, elected from Dolakha 1 (1) from the Congress, resigned to contest the nomination. He did not get a ticket from the party.

 Other MPs who will leave the province to go to the House of Representatives are Aman Kumar Maskey, elected from Kathmandu-6 (2) from the UML, Prakash Shrestha, elected from Kathmandu-7 (2) from the UML, Basanta Prasad Manandhar, elected from Kathmandu-7 (1) from the NCP, Yubaraj Dulal, elected from Sindhupalchowk-2 (1) from the NCP, and Sunil KC, elected from Kathmandu-2 (1) from the RPP. Maskey from UML has become a candidate from Kathmandu-6, Shrestha from Kathmandu-7. Manandhar from the NCP is also a candidate from Kathmandu-7, while Dulal is a candidate from Sindhupalchowk-2. KC from the RPP has joined the RSP and become a candidate from Kathmandu-2.

He has become a candidate from Saptari-2 from the Swabhiman Party. In the 2079 election, Singh was elected from Saptari-2 (1) from the Janmat Party. He was known as a trusted person of Janmat President CK Raut. While in the Madhesh Province Assembly, he was the Finance Committee Chairman and became the Chief Minister on 25 Jestha 081. During the Gen-G movement, he had mentioned his resignation on social media Facebook. However, after withdrawing it after some time, he became controversial within the party.

Singh was reluctant to resign even after the public opinion called him back as the Chief Minister. After that, Singh was forced to resign after the public opinion withdrew its support. After that, he resigned from the public opinion without remaining an ordinary member.

He claimed that he resigned from the party and the post because he was not in a position to protect his self-respect by sitting on the public opinion. ‘There is also talk of abolishing the provincial assembly,’ Singh said, ‘I have chosen the House of Representatives to protect the provincial assembly.’ He said that if he wins the election this time, he will play a role in strengthening the municipality and the provincial government. He was elected as the chairman of Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality in Saptari in 2074. 

Bharat Prasad Sah, the leader of the then Maoist Center’s Madhesh Parliamentary Party, has resigned from the post of MP and registered his candidacy for the House of Representatives. He has become a candidate from Mahottari-4 from the NCP. Former Speaker of the Madhesh Province, Ramchandra Mandal, has also registered his candidacy for the House of Representatives. He has filed his candidacy from Dhanusha-1 from the UML. He is a UML central member. In 2074, he was elected to the Provincial Assembly from the then Maoist Center from Dhanusha-1 (2). In 2079, he left the Maoists and was elected as a provincial member of the UML.

Rahbar Ansari, who became a Madhesh Provincial Member of Parliament from the then Maoist Center, has also resigned. He has registered his candidacy for the House of Representatives. He has become the RSP candidate from Bara-4. Earlier, he was a Provincial Assembly member from Parsa-1 (2). A year and a half ago, he was the Minister of State for Forest, Industry and Tourism of Madhesh.

Koshi Provincial Assembly member and former Minister of Internal Affairs and Law from UML, Rewatiraman Bhandari, has become a candidate from Sunsari-2. Provincial Assembly member and former Minister Bhakti Prasad Sitaula from the RPP has also entered the House of Representatives election. Sitaula, who was elected to the Provincial Assembly from Jhapa-2, has become a candidate from Jhapa-4 this time.
