There is going to be a competition between old leaders in Dang-3 for the seat of the House of Representatives.

 The main rival parties, Congress, UML, Nepali Communist Party and National Independent Party, have fielded candidates who had contested in the previous elections this time.

Deepak Giri is a candidate for the sixth time from Congress. He was elected from the same constituency in the 2070 and 2079 elections. He was defeated in the same constituency in 2051, 2064 and 2074. He became the Minister of Irrigation after being elected in 2070.

Central member Ghanshyam Pandey is a candidate from UML. He was elected as the mayor of Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City in 2074 and was defeated by Congress' Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary for the Provincial Assembly seat from Dang 3(1) in 2079.

Similarly, Dhan Bahadur Maski is a candidate from Nepali Communist Party. He has resigned from the Provincial Assembly seat and is contesting the election. Maski was elected as a member of the Provincial Assembly in the 2079 provincial assembly election from Dang 3 (2) by securing 22,362 votes. He was also the Finance Minister of Lumbini Province.

Kamal Subedi is the candidate from the National Independent Party. He was the candidate from the Rashtriya Swatantra Party in the 2079 election in Constituency No. 3 and secured 15,326 votes.

Nepali Congress leader Deepak Giri, a candidate from the alliance of the Maoist Center, CPN (Unified Socialist) and others, won from that constituency with 36,911 votes.

In this constituency. There are 3 female candidates in this constituency. Among them are Kamala GC of the Rastriya Janamorcha, Shobha Dangi of the Janata Samajwadi Party, and Pandi Nepali of the Aam Janata Party.
