UML has given continuity to new candidates in three of the four constituencies of Parsa and one of the old ones. This time, UML has entered the elections in Parsa by giving tickets to Pradeep Yadav in Constituency No. 1, Rima Yadav in Constituency No. 2, Pramod Jaiswal in Constituency No. 3 and Zalim Mia in Constituency No. 4.

On the eve of the election, Pradeep Yadav has left the Upendra Yadav-led JSP overnight and joined the UML and became the UML candidate from Constituency No. 1. He is also the outgoing MP from this constituency. He joined the Yadav-led JSP only a week ago and was previously associated with the Ashok Rai-led JSP.

29-year-old Rina Yadav is a new face in the UML. Since she is of the same age group, Madhesi and a woman, the UML has given her an opportunity from Constituency No. 2.

Earlier, the outgoing MP from Constituency No. 3, Rajkumar Gupta, was getting an opportunity, but this time he is in jail on corruption charges, so the UML has put forward Rupesh Pandey in his place. Pandey, who has been in politics for a long time in the Nepali Congress from that constituency, had been saying that he was an aspirant for the candidate this year. But after the Congress again nominated Surendra Chaudhary as its candidate, the UML has made him the candidate at the last minute. This will be Pandey's first experience in the House of Representatives election, who has a professional background.
