The number of women candidates has been found to be low in the Far West. Six districts of the province are without women candidates due to non-participation in party selection. The country's major parties, the Congress and the UML, have not fielded a single woman candidate. The Nepali Communist Party and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) have fielded one woman candidate each.

Major parties like Congress, UML and NCP have not fielded female candidates in all five constituencies of Kailali. Smaller parties like Nepal Workers and Farmers Party, Miteri Nepal Party, Aam Janata Party, Rastriya Janamorcha Party have also fielded female candidates only in Kailali and Kanchanpur.
In Kailali-1, Sunita Bhandara from NEMKIPA, Rupakumari Chaudhary from Aam Janata Party and Komal Gyawali from RSP have become candidates. In Kailali-2, NEMKIPA's Laxmi Punamagar and Miteri Nepal Party's Samjhauna Bista Thapa have become candidates.
Junu Mahatara Shahi from NEMKIPA and Sushila Thapa Magar from Miteri Nepal are the candidates in Kailali-3, Amrita Bhul from NEMKIPA in Kailali-4 and Radhika Kumari Karki from Miteri Nepal Party, Shobhamani Joshi from Rastriya Janamorcha and Tushan Pun Magar from NEMKIPA are the candidates in Kailali-5.
Bina Magar has become the candidate from NCP in Kanchanpur-1. She was elected from the same constituency before. Sita BK from Aam Janata Party and Rupa Devi Bista and Manju Devi Sunar from independent candidates are the candidates in the same constituency.
Premwati Rana from Nagarik Unmukti Party is the candidate from Kanchanpur-2 and Laxmi Kumari Bista from Aam Aadmi Party is the candidate in Kanchanpur-3. Saraswati Pal Malla from Miteri Nepal Party has filed her candidacy in Doti. Out of the 16 constituencies in the Far West, UML had initially given a ticket to central member Kamala Bohara in Kanchanpur-1. In the end, it has given a ticket to Tara Lama Tamang.
Despite not having a candidate, the number of female voters in the Far West is higher than that of male voters. According to the Provincial Election Office, there are 864,423 female voters and 852,219 male voters, said Information Officer Rajesh Chaudhary. There are 18 other voters in the province.
