Lekhraj Bhatta has filed his candidacy from UML in Kailali Constituency No. 4. Bhatta, who is also the UML Deputy General Secretary, had previously been a candidate in Kailali 4.

He was defeated by Congress leader Bir Bahadur Balayar in the 2074 BS House of Representatives elections.
