Twelve people in Lamjung registered their candidacies at the office of the Chief Electoral Officer on Tuesday for the House of Representatives elections to be held on February 21.
According to the Office of the Chief Election Officer, UML Vice President Prithvi Subba Gurung, District Member from the Congress Gam Prasad Gurung, Central Organization Department Member Dharmaraj KC from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Gandaki Province Member of the then Maoist Center Harijang Tamang from the NCP, and RPP District President Kebindra Jung Gurung have registered their candidacies.
Initially, Gujeshwari Prajapati Magaju registered his candidacy from the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party. Then Santosh Ghimire filed his candidacy as an independent candidate. Then Rabindra Nakhola of the NCP (Maoist) filed his candidacy.
Similarly, 12 people including Bharat Gurung of the National Republic Nepal, Bikash Gurung of the Mongol National Organization, Kosh Lal Gurung of the Shram Sanskriti Party, and Milan Baskota of the Janadesh Party have filed their candidacies, informed Assistant Election Officer Rambandhu Gautam.
According to him, the time for the six parties was from 12:30 am to 3 pm. Initially, the time was fixed for the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and finally for the Congress candidates. The time for nomination registration was fixed from 10 am to 5 pm.
