More than 3 dozen people, including two former ministers, have registered their nominations from Siraha Constituency No. 3. They registered their nominations by reaching the office of the Returning Officer in Siraha.

Former minister Lilanath Shrestha from UML and former minister Bishwanath Sah from NCP have filed their candidacies from here. Similarly, Asheshwor Yadav has filed his candidacy from JSP Nepal. He was defeated by Shrestha by a narrow margin in 2074 BS.

The Congress has fielded Subhash Chandra Yadav as its candidate. He is the son of former minister and former treasurer of the Congress Sitadevi Yadav. Rohit Mahato has become the candidate from Janmat Party. Shambhu Yadav has filed his nomination from Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

In this area, 36 candidates have been registered so far, including various parties and independents, and the process is still underway, said Assistant Election Officer Bheshraj Bhattarai.
