Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) President Ravi Lamichhane, who has a journalism background, and Deepak Bohara, Sobita Gautam, and Nisha Dangi from the same party have also become candidates. Lamichhane, Gautam, and Dangi had won the House of Representatives in the previous election.
