Jagdish Kharel, who resigned as Minister of Communications on Monday, will formally join the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Tuesday. According to RSS leader Ganesh Parajuli, Kharel's party entry and welcome program has been scheduled for 11 am.
Kharel has confirmed that he will be the candidate from Lalitpur Constituency No. 2. Kharel, who had earlier said that he had not decided whether to contest the election, resigned from the ministerial post a day before the nomination.
Four ministers from the government formed after the Gen-G agitation on Bhadra 23 and 24, who were primarily responsible for holding the election, have resigned. Education Minister Mahabir Pun resigned on Tuesday alone. He resigned to focus on his own campaign.
