Central Vice President Rajkishore Yadav from Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepal, Birendra Prasad Mahato from Janmat Party, Ajay Shankar Nayak from NCP, Dharmanath Sah from UML and Bishvendra Paswan from Bahujan Shakti Party have filed their candidacies from here.
Five former ministers have filed their candidacies from Siraha Constituency No. 4. Five former ministers registered their nominations at the office of the Returning Officer in Mirchaiya on Monday.
Rajkishore Yadav, the central vice-president of the Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepal, Birendra Prasad Mahato from the Janmat Party, Ajay Shankar Nayak from the NCP, Dharmanath Sah from the UML and Bishvendra Paswan from the Bahujan Shakti Party have filed their candidacies from here.
Among them, Rajkishore has been a three-time MP and a two-time minister. He had previously won the election from Siraha 2 and was elected from Siraha 4. Birendra from Janmat had previously won the election from the same constituency and became a minister from the JSP Nepal.
A two-time MP, he had previously become a proportional MP from the same JSP Nepal. However, Mahato, who joined the JSP, which was formed by splitting from the JSP Nepal, has entered the election competition this time by taking a ticket from the Janmat Party at the very beginning of the election.
Ajay Shankar from the NCP has become a proportional MP and a minister. He had previously contested the direct election in 2074 and was defeated by Rajkishore Yadav from the JSP Nepal.
UML's Dharmanath has been an MP twice and a minister once through direct and proportional representation. Bishvendra has become a minister through proportional representation. With this, this area has become the area with the highest number of former ministers in the district, which will make the election competition here interesting.
Apart from this, Chandrakala Devi Yadav from the Congress and Tapeshwar Yadav from the National Independent Party have also filed their candidacies from this area. They have not contested elections before.
According to Election Officer Shiva Wagle, 19 candidates from various parties and independents have registered their candidacies from this area so far and more are in the process.
