Former Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh has registered his candidacy for the House of Representatives from Saptari Constituency No. 2. He registered his candidacy by coming to the office of the Chief Electoral Officer at the office of the Saptari District Sports Development Committee in Rajbiraj-7 along with a procession of leaders/workers.

Earlier, he was elected from Saptari Constituency No. 2 Provincial Assembly (A) in 2079 BS from the Janmat Party by getting 16,434 votes.
There are a total of 1,5,922 voters in this constituency, including 56,400 men, 49,520 women and 2 others.
