Former Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh has registered his candidacy for the House of Representatives from Saptari Constituency No. 2. He registered his candidacy by coming to the office of the Chief Electoral Officer at the office of the Saptari District Sports Development Committee in Rajbiraj-7 along with a procession of leaders/workers.

A few days ago, he resigned from the Janmat Party and the Provincial Assembly member and has filed his candidacy from the Swabhiman Party, which is coordinated by his own brother Satyawan Singh. Singh's proposer is Ram Kumar Rai and his seconder is Rabin Kumar Singh. Earlier, he was elected from Saptari Constituency No. 2 Provincial Assembly (A) in 2079 BS from the Janmat Party by getting 16,434 votes. 

There are a total of 1,5,922 voters in this constituency, including 56,400 men, 49,520 women and 2 others.
