Congress Lumbini Province Joint General Secretary Bishnu Prasad Khanal (Muskan) is set to be a candidate for the House of Representatives elections to be held on Falgun 21. The Congress has fielded him as its candidate for Arghakhanchi.

Khanal of Malarani Rural Municipality-4 Khan started his political journey from the Nepali Congress. After leaving his job as a permanent teacher, Khan became a candidate for the post of VDC chairman from the Nepali Congress in the 2054 local elections.

Khanal, who also worked in journalism in the district for a few years, rose to the position of chairman of the Nepali Congress through village, area, district member, secretary, and vice-president. He was also a candidate for Provincial Assembly 1 in the 2074 elections. Khanal, who lost in two elections, is now a candidate for the House of Representatives.
