The National Independent Party has selected old candidates in two constituencies of Dang and new candidates in one. In constituencies 1 and 3, it has given a chance to the candidates of 2079 BS, while in constituency 2, it has selected a new candidate.

Devraj Pathak is filing his candidacy in Constituency No. 1, Bipin Kumar Acharya in Constituency No. 2, and Kamal Subedi in Constituency No. 3. Pathak had contested from Constituency No. 1 in 2079 and received 13,798 votes. The candidate of the alliance including the Congress and the Maoist Center, the then CPN (Unified Socialist) leader Metmani Chaudhary, won from that constituency by securing 26,576 votes. Chaudhary is still the candidate of the Nepali Communist Party from that constituency.

Subedi had contested from Constituency No. 3 in 2079 and received 15,326 votes. The candidate of the alliance including the Maoist Center and the CPN (Unified Socialist) leader Deepak Giri of the Nepali Congress won from that constituency with 36,911 votes.

Acharya, who contested from Constituency No. 2, is a new candidate. He is the Joint General Secretary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). A resident of Dang, he withdrew his name from the proportional list and started contesting the elections directly. Acharya is considered a confidant of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) President Ravi Lamichhane.

In the 2079 elections, Vishal Adhikari was a candidate from Constituency No. 2 from the RSS. He received 15,861 votes. The candidate of the alliance including the Congress and the CPN (Unified Socialist) from that constituency, Maoist Center leader Rekha Sharma, won by 26,880 votes. Adhikari tried to become a candidate until the last minute, but was not selected.
