Both the rival leaders are scheduled to register their candidacies from here on Tuesday. UML sources have said that UML Chairman Oli is scheduled to land at Chandragadhi Airport at 12 noon on Monday. Since Jhapa-5 is Oli's traditional constituency, his arrival is seen as a visit focused on strengthening the organization and election strategy. It is said that Oli is scheduled to discuss with party leaders and workers in Jhapa and give instructions on the upcoming elections. Balendra Shah, on the other hand, is preparing to arrive in Jhapa only in the afternoon. After attending the general meeting to be held in Janakpur today, he will go to his home district Mahottari. He is scheduled to stay there for some time before heading east. According to Balendra Shah's supporter and campaigner Santosh Dulal, Balendra will have a brief meeting in Itahari after the Janakpur and Mahottari programs. 'After that, he will come directly to Damak,' Dulal said.
