The Nepali Communist Party (NCP) has nominated Hitman Shakya as its candidate in Kathmandu-10.

He won from Kathmandu-6 in the 2064 election. In the 2064 and 2070 elections, NCP coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal was the candidate from this constituency. 

A former president of Akhil Krantikari,  Shakya was the Bagmati Province in-charge before joining the NCP.
