Kanhaiya Baniya, a member of the Provincial Assembly from Rupandehi-4 (1), resigned on Monday. Earlier, he resigned from his elected position from the Loktantrik Samajwadi Party and became a candidate for the House of Representatives from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The RSS has decided to field him as a candidate from Rupandehi-4.

West Nawalparasi Congress leader Bikram Khanal has also joined the RSS. He has become a candidate from West Nawalparasi-1 from the RSS. In these districts, there has been an increase in people changing parties and taking tickets. After not getting tickets from the previous party, the leaders in the district have been seen taking the initiative to change parties.

Former Superintendent of Police Bikram Singh Thapa, who was expecting a ticket from the Congress in Kapilvastu-2, has joined the RSS and become a candidate. The RSS has made him a candidate from Kapilvastu-2. Thapa, who had contested the provincial assembly election from Kapilvastu-2 (1) in 2079 BS, was defeated by a margin of 522 votes.

RPP leader Prakash Rajouria is also going to contest from Kapilvastu-3 from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The RSSW district president, Shiva Subedi, said that Rajouria has been nominated. Former Congress leader Birendra Kumar Kanodia joined the UML last Saturday. He will contest the election from the UML. He was expected to be the candidate from Kapilvastu-3 when Sher Bahadur Deuba was the party president. He also changed parties after the party president changed.
