Sudhan Gurung, one of the leaders of the Genji movement, is set to join the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Gurung, who is active in social work through an organization called Hami Nepal, came into the spotlight after the Genji Movement. Sudhan, who is active in everything from facilitating talks between Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah and Rashtriya Swatantra Party President Ravi Lamichhane to getting Kulman Ghising of Ujjwal Nepal to join the Rashtriya Swatantra Party, has joined the Rashtriya Swatantra Party.

He announced his intention to join the Rashtriya Swatantra Party through social media Facebook. He wrote on Facebook, 'Today at 3:30 pm, Balen Shah and I are formally joining the National Independent Party. This decision is not for position, power or personal gain, but out of commitment to the people's expectations and responsibilities. The time has come to institutionalize the accountability, direction and results that you have demanded. Public interest will remain the first priority, the trust of the youth will be secured, and change will be made permanent. This journey will move forward with you.'

A few days ago, Sudhan announced that he would be running for the House of Representatives election from Gorkha-1.
